The Sales & Marketing — Innkeeper is a hybrid leadership role combining on‑site hospitality stewardship with responsibility for driving visibility, demand, and long‑term guest relationships across the Old Louisville Stay portfolio. While this role includes the daily responsibilities of an innkeeper, its primary focus is telling the Old Louisville Stay story, strengthening direct bookings, and supporting sustainable revenue growth.

Core Innkeeper Responsibilities
As an innkeeper, this role serves as a visible and trusted steward of the property:
- Serve breakfast five (5) mornings per week, following established menus, service flow, and presentation standards
- Breakfast service is supported by the culinary team through prepared and pre‑portioned components; this role focuses on execution, presentation, and guest interaction rather than cooking from scratch
- Act as a warm, knowledgeable, and professional face of Old Louisville Stay to guests
- Be available after hours to assist with special guest needs or unexpected situations
- Maintain a calm, attentive presence that contributes to a safe, secure, and well‑managed environment
- Represent the inn respectfully within the surrounding neighborhood and historic context
Sales & Marketing Leadership Responsibilities
The Sales & Marketing — Innkeeper owns the execution and evolution of Old Louisville Stay’s marketing and sales efforts:
- Develop and execute marketing strategies aligned with the brand’s historic elegance and high‑touch hospitality
- Manage and update website content, guest‑facing messaging, and broader digital presence
- Oversee email communications, special offers, and guest lifecycle touchpoints
- Build relationships with repeat guests, partners, corporate clients, and local organizations
- Support sales efforts for events, extended stays, and curated experiences
- Identify opportunities to increase direct bookings and reduce reliance on third‑party channels
Digital Presence & Demand Channels
This role holds responsibility for ensuring Old Louisville Stay’s digital visibility meaningfully supports awareness, credibility, and direct bookings:
- Own and maintain the brand’s presence across key digital channels
- Guide social media strategy and content to reflect the guest experience, historic character, and brand voice
- Ensure core SEO best practices are applied across website content and guest‑facing pages
- Use digital channels deliberately as part of a broader demand‑generation and relationship‑building strategy
Brand, Storytelling & Guest Insight
This role bridges lived hospitality with outward storytelling:
- Translate on‑property guest experience into compelling brand narratives
- Coordinate photography, storytelling, and content that authentically reflect the inns and neighborhood
- Ensure brand voice and tone remain consistent across all guest touchpoints
- Capture guest feedback and insight to continuously refine messaging and positioning
Systems, Metrics & Continuous Improvement
The Sales & Marketing — Innkeeper supports disciplined, measurable growth:
- Track and interpret key performance indicators such as booking mix, occupancy trends, and channel performance
- Use shared systems to plan, document, and measure marketing initiatives
- Test, evaluate, and refine campaigns based on performance and guest response
- Maintain organized records, calendars, and documentation within shared systems
- Contribute to evolving SOPs related to sales, marketing, and guest communications
Technology & Systems Mindset
- Comfortable operating in a tech‑forward hospitality and marketing environment
- Confident using content management systems, email platforms, and reporting tools
- Values clarity, documentation, and repeatable processes
- Approaches creativity with structure and measurable intent
Living & Availability Requirements (Innkeeper Portion)
- This position requires residing on site in employer‑provided accommodations
- On‑site residence supports:
- Breakfast service five (5) mornings per week
- After‑hours guest needs
- Overnight and evening presence
- Accommodations are designed for single‑occupant or adult‑couple residency and are not intended for family or dependent housing
- The living arrangement must support quiet hours, professional boundaries, and full availability consistent with inn operations
Compensation & Benefits

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $54,400.00 - $65,000.00 per year
