The Sales & Marketing Representative is responsible for driving revenue growth by identifying new business opportunities, managing customer relationships, and executing marketing initiatives that enhance brand visibility and market penetration. This role combines direct sales activities with marketing coordination to achieve organizational targets.
Key ResponsibilitiesSales Responsibilities
- Identify, prospect, and develop new customers through field visits, calls, and digital channels
- Maintain and grow relationships with existing clients to ensure repeat business
- Present, promote, and sell products/services using value-based selling techniques
- Prepare and deliver sales quotations, proposals, and follow-ups
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and close sales deals in line with company policies
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets
- Maintain accurate sales records, customer data, and pipeline updates in CRM systems
Marketing Responsibilities
- Support execution of marketing campaigns (digital, social media, print, exhibitions, events)
- Collect and analyze market intelligence, competitor activity, and customer feedback
- Assist in branding, promotions, and lead-generation activities
- Coordinate with the marketing team to improve lead quality and conversion rates
- Represent the company at trade shows, exhibitions, and promotional events
Customer & Internal Coordination
- Act as the primary point of contact for customers regarding inquiries and after-sales coordination
- Coordinate with operations, accounts, and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery and customer satisfaction
- Handle customer complaints professionally and ensure resolution
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
- Ability to build long-term client relationships
- Goal-oriented with a strong sales mindset
- Basic understanding of marketing concepts and digital platforms
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and CRM tools
- Good time management and organizational skills
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or a related field
- Relevant certifications in sales or digital marketing are an advantage
Experience
- 1–3 years of experience in sales and/or marketing (industry-specific experience preferred)
- Freshers with strong communication and learning ability may also be considered
Work Environment
- Field-based and office-based work
- May require local travel to meet clients and attend events
