We are seeking a motivated and customer-oriented Sales Clerk to join our team in a dynamic retail environment. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional service to our customers while efficiently managing sales transactions and maintaining store operations. Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and assist them with their shopping needs.
• Operate the cash register, handle cash transactions, and process payments accurately.
• Maintain an organized and well-stocked sales floor by restocking shelves and ensuring product displays are appealing.
• Communicate effectively with customers to understand their needs and provide appropriate product recommendations.
• Assist in supervising junior staff members, ensuring they adhere to store policies and procedures.
• Perform basic math calculations for transactions and inventory management.
• Address customer inquiries and resolve any issues that may arise during their shopping experience.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the grocery store environment.

Experience

• Previous experience in retail sales or grocery store environments is preferred but not mandatory.
• Proficiency in cash handling and operating cash registers is highly desirable.
• Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply, as effective communication with diverse customers is essential.
• Strong interpersonal skills to engage with customers and provide excellent service.
• Basic math skills for accurate transaction processing and inventory tracking.
• Experience in supervising or mentoring staff is a plus but not required.
