Sales & Office Assistant / Home Design Trainee

Village Homes is looking for a motivated and personable individual to join our team. We’ll take you under our wing with close mentoring and hands-on training to help you succeed. You’ll play a key role in delivering a first-class home buying experience, supporting our sales team, assisting customers, and helping with parts & service for existing homeowners — all while learning the home building industry from the ground up.

What You’ll Do:

• Shadow and assist our sales team, sit in on presentations, and help with customer appointments
• Answer phones, greet walk-in visitors, and provide excellent customer service
• Assist with parts sales, order placement, and incoming deliveries
• Process paperwork, manage customer files, and maintain home inventory records
• Create and manage office brochures and marketing materials
• Learn basic drafting in Chief Architect software (full professional training provided)
• Help with interior design and decorating of our sales lot display homes
• Perform general office duties and help keep the sales lot and office clean and welcoming (including light shoveling in winter)
• Support the sales manager and ownership with various tasks as needed
• Learn our products, services, and new technology along the way

Schedule:

• One weekday off per week + every Sunday off
• Open Saturdays 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM (until 3:00 PM in winter months)
• Saturdays are our busiest day with families planning new homes or picking up supplies

What We’re Looking For:

• Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
• Comfortable with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
• Strong administrative, organizational, and basic math skills
• Willingness to learn basic drafting in Chief Architect (training provided)
• Positive attitude with a good sense of humor
• Reliable, detail-oriented, and eager to grow

No previous home building experience is required — we’re willing to mentor and train the right person who has the right attitude and willingness to learn!

Pay: $50,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
