Job Summary:
The Sales Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the sales process to ensure smooth coordination between sales, marketing, logistics, and finance teams. The role involves managing data, analysing performance metrics, supporting sales strategy implementation, improving operational efficiency, and ensuring compliance with company policies to achieve sales goals effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Sales Process & Operations:
- Manage day-to-day sales operations to ensure smooth execution of sales activities.
- Streamline and standardize sales processes across all zones and teams.
- Oversee lead management, sales funnel tracking, and order processing.
- Coordinate between sales, marketing, and supply chain to ensure timely product delivery and billing.
2. Reporting & Analysis:
- Prepare and analyse daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports.
- Track KPIs such as sales targets, revenue growth, and productivity metrics.
- Support sales forecasting, budgeting, and performance analysis.
- Provide insights and recommendations to improve sales efficiency and profitability.
3. CRM & Data Management:
- Maintain accurate sales data in CRM and ERP systems.
- Monitor data quality and ensure consistency in reporting.
- Support sales automation and use of technology tools for performance tracking.
4. Sales Support & Coordination:
- Assist sales teams with pricing, quotations, and customer documentation.
- Coordinate with finance for outstanding management and ledger reconciliation.
- Manage and approve sales-related claims such as incentives, discounts, and reimbursements.
5. Team Management & Training:
- Supervise sales support executives and coordinators.
- Conduct training on sales processes, reporting tools, and compliance.
- Foster collaboration and continuous improvement across sales teams.
6. Compliance & Governance:
- Ensure all sales operations follow company policies and audit requirements.
- Support credit control and ensure adherence to collection timelines.
- Coordinate with HR and Finance for incentive and payroll alignment based on performance metrics.
Key Skills & Competencies:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, CRM, ERP, and data reporting tools.
- Deep understanding of sales processes and channel management.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with various departments.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
Qualification & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sales, or related field (MBA preferred).
- 5–10 years of experience in Sales Operations, Sales Coordination, or Sales Management.
- Experience in FMCG, Consumer Durables, or Retail industry preferred.
