Long Island Carpet Cleaners, Inc. is a fifth-generation family-owned business based in Queens. We are the leading provider of commercial and residential specialty cleaning services in the NYC area. We clean carpet, area rugs, upholstered furniture and draperies. We also clean, maintain and restore natural stone, tile, grout, terrazzo and decorative metal.

Clients contact us when something valuable matters and they need confidence in who they let in.

This role exists to cultivate the client experience before execution begins, so trust is established before our field teams arrive onsite. The goal is not selling. The goal is clarity, confidence, and momentum.

This is a full-time in-person position.

Client Intake and Experience

  • Answer inbound calls, emails, texts and chats promptly
  • Assess urgency, fit, and scope
  • Guide clients to the right next step with calm confidence
  • Book jobs and walkthroughs efficiently and accurately
  • Set expectations that our field teams can reliably deliver against

Revenue Activation

  • Convert legitimate demand into scheduled work and walkthroughs at scale
  • Focus on throughput and quality
  • Enable client engagement by getting technicians and field managers onsite with trust intact
  • Avoid over-diagnosis, overselling, or speculative promises

Dormant Demand Analysis

  • Own proactive outreach for dormant jobs, locations, or past inquiries
  • Analyze and address assigned follow-ups and ticklers
  • Reactivate demand that would otherwise remain idle
  • Book new work when interest re-emerges

Cross-Team Coordination

  • Efficient and accurate entry of booked appointments
  • Ability to gain a proper understanding of internal communication and escalation channels

What This Role Is Not

  • Not a call center role
  • Not a relationship manager role, though the ability to build rapport quickly is essential
  • Not quota-driven sales
  • Not remote or hybrid
  • Not improvising promises to win work

Overselling creates problems here and is not tolerated. Accuracy and judgment matter more than charisma.

Who Thrives in This Role

You likely have:

  • 1–3 years of experience in client intake, service sales, hospitality, or professional services
  • Strong phone presence and excellent written communication
  • Comfort building trust quickly without oversharing or pushing
  • Good judgment and respect for boundaries
  • High personal standards and strong follow-through
  • The ability to move quickly without cutting corners
  • Basic quantitative analysis skills

You take pride in making things feel easy for clients and easier for the team.

Compensation

  • Base salary: $65,000
  • Incentive: 2–5% of completed revenue attributed to work you book, above $1,000,000
  • Paid time off, holidays, 401k
