Sales person with barista experience

We’re looking for a friendly, enthusiastic, and reliable Sales Associate with barista experience to join our front-of-house team. You’ll be the face of the bakery greeting customers, answering questions, preparing coffee and drinks, and creating a welcoming atmosphere that keeps people coming back.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers with warmth, efficiency, and professionalism
• Be available to work Wednesday- Sunday. Mainly morning to afternoon shifts .
• Take orders at the counter or by phone and operate the POS system accurately
• Prepare espresso drinks and other beverages to order
• Maintain knowledge of daily pastries, cakes, sandwiches, and specials
• Keep the front-of-house clean, organized, and fully stocked
• Handle cash and card transactions securely
• Upsell products when appropriate and help promote seasonal or featured items
• Work as part of a small, collaborative team in a fast-paced environment

Requirements

• 1+ year of barista experience in a café or bakery setting
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• A love of great coffee, pastries, and customer service
• Ability to multitask and stay calm under pressure
• Punctual, dependable, and detail-oriented
• Food handler’s permit (or ability to get one upon hire)
• Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs

Bonus Points:

• Experience working with artisan or European-style pastries
• Interest in food, hospitality, or baking
• Familiarity with Seattle’s foodie scene or the Madison Park neighborhood
