Virginia Furniture Market seeks an experienced sales professional for its newest store, Crafted, in Rocky Mount, VA. As a VFM sales professional you are the face of our business. By engaging with clients, assessing their home furnishing needs, lifestyle and budget and presenting solutions to close the sale, you will develop long-term and trusting relationships. Our Sales Professionals must be energetic, motivated and keep up-to-date on knowledge of products, services and administrative duties to complete the sales process.

Responsibilities:

• Welcome customers with excitement in a warm and welcoming way
• Knowledge of design and home interiors a plus
• Interacting with customers via telephone, text, email and through networking
• Assess customers' needs and provide assistance and information on product features and benefits by utilizing your concrete understanding of all of our products
• Consistent follow through with prospective customers, current customers and orders
• Remain knowledgeable on all products, home design styles, sales skills, finance options, and other services available to our customers
• Close sales and entering sales orders with accurate information, and process payment and/or financing
• Order personalized furniture correctly and follow up with customers on timing, delivery, etc.
• Participate in sales-related events and programs to facilitate the achievement of company goals
• Meet monthly and annual goals

Requirements:

• Proven work experience as a sales associate, sales representative or similar role. Furniture sales experience and experience or interest in interior design a plus
• Understanding sales principles and customer service practices
• Willingness to work weekends and holidays
• Highly driven to meet and exceed sales goals
• Excellent communication, interpersonal skills and a professional demeanor.
• Computer literacy
• Attention to detail
• Familiarity with inventory procedures
• Desire to work in a commissioned sales environment
• Career-minded professionalism
• High school diploma. A Bachelor's Degree in related fields is a plus
• Clear background check

Weekly day range:

• Monday to Sunday as scheduled (two weekdays off per week)
• Weekends are mandatory

Experience:

• Retail sales: 1 year (Required)
