Sales Project Engineer

Job Summary:

The Sales Project Engineer supports the sales organization by providing technical expertise throughout the sales and project lifecycle. This role works closely with customers and internal teams to understand application requirements, develop system solutions, prepare proposals, and support projects from initial inquiry through order execution, system delivery and installation and finally working with Frigel service for system startup.

The ideal candidate is technically strong, detail-oriented, customer-focused, and comfortable managing multiple projects in a fast-paced industrial environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Sales Support & Application Engineering

  • Work directly with sales and customers to:
  • Understand customer process requirements, specifications, and application needs
  • Recommend and configure appropriate products and system solutions
  • Determine best product applications based on performance, cost, and customer requirements
  • Serve as a technical resource to sales during customer meetings, calls, and presentations as needed

Proposal Creation & Management

  • Develop accurate and competitive technical proposals, including:
  • System configurations and part selections
  • Technical descriptions and scope definitions
  • Proposal revisions based on customer feedback and scope changes
  • Maintain proposal version control and documentation accuracy

CRM & Data Management

  • Create and maintain accurate CRM records, including:
  • Opportunity data
  • Part numbers and system configurations
  • Proposal revisions and customer communications
  • Ensure data accuracy to support forecasting, reporting, and order processing

Project Management Coordination

  • Coordinate the transition from sales order to project startup, including:
  • Documentation packet creation necessary for installation (Engineering pack)
  • Technical handoff to service teams
  • Confirmation of project scope, deliverables, timelines, and customer expectations
  • Coordinate with all necessary internal Frigel groups to meet project timelines
  • Act as a point of contact during the order execution phase for all customer-related questions, comments, or concerns. Be the key source of reliable information for the customer!

Startup & Customer Support Coordination

  • Coordinate system startup activities with service teams
  • Support during commissioning by addressing technical questions and clarifying scope
  • Communicate field feedback, lessons learned, and improvement opportunities back to the sales and engineering teams

Required Skills and Qualifications:

· Degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial engineering

· 1-2 yrs. Working experience

· Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external contractors and customers

· Analytical and strategic thinking skills

· Good communication skills

· Project work experience

· Good organizational and time management skills

· CAD+Solid Works

· Good tendency to interpersonal relationships

Pay: $69,845.20 - $84,114.64 per year
