Job Title: Sales Representative


Position Overview

The Sales Representative is responsible for driving revenue by managing and converting existing bid opportunities into awarded projects throughout the state of Arizona. This role focuses on proactive follow-up, relationship development with contractors and builders, and negotiating contracts to close work that is already in the pipeline. The ideal candidate is highly organized, persistent, and confident in communication, with a strong ability to move deals forward and win business.


Key Responsibilities

Bid Follow-Up & Pipeline Management

  • Actively manage and follow up on all outstanding bids to drive timely decisions
  • Maintain consistent communication with clients throughout the bidding process
  • Track bid status, updates, and next steps within the CRM system (Zoho)
  • Identify stalled opportunities and re-engage prospects to move deals forward

Client Relationship Development

  • Build and maintain relationships with general contractors, builders, and developers
  • Position the company as a preferred subcontractor for future projects
  • Proactively work to get added to bid lists for upcoming new construction projects
  • Maintain regular touchpoints with key accounts to stay top-of-mind

Negotiation & Closing

  • Lead negotiations on pricing, scope, and project timelines
  • Address objections and align solutions with client needs
  • Close deals on existing bids and secure signed contracts
  • Collaborate with estimating and operations teams to ensure smooth project handoff

CRM & Reporting

  • Accurately update all deal activity, notes, and communications in CRM (Zoho)
  • Maintain visibility into pipeline performance and forecasted revenue
  • Provide regular updates on bid status, wins, losses, and key opportunities

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Bid-to-win ratio (%)
  • Total revenue closed per month/quarter
  • # of face to face calls per week/month
  • Average time to close from bid submission
  • Number of follow-ups per opportunity
  • Number of new clients added to bid lists
  • Pipeline value and conversion rate

Qualifications

  • The right person is more important than the right experience. No required experience needed.
  • 2+ years of sales experience preferred (construction, subcontracting, or B2B preferred)
  • Strong follow-up discipline and ability to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Confident negotiator with a results-driven mindset
  • Experience using CRM pipeline management systems
  • Ability to understand construction scopes, process, industry and timelines (preferred but not required)

Compensation Structure

  • On Target Annual Earnings: $125,000-$150,000 +
  • Base Salary: $80,000 (DOE)
  • Commission: 0.5-1% of gross revenue generated from sales you originate and close
  • Additional Performance Bonuses based on individual and company performance
