Position Summary:
We are seeking a friendly and energetic Sales Representative to join our team in this exciting industry. As a Sales Representative, you will play a crucial role in increasing our market share and promoting our brands to new and existing customers. With your knowledge of the industry and excellent communication skills, you will help us maintain and grow our customer base, ensuring satisfaction with our products.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Responsible for presenting, tasting, selling and promoting/selling our products to off premise (stores) and on premise (restaurants, bars) accounts within assigned territory.
- Provides superior service regarding products, product use, pricing, availability and credit terms.
- Serves as point-of-contact for customers to resolve problems and to provide ongoing support.
- Promotes new and existing portfolio items. Utilizes sample inventories to promote product sales.
- Exhibits creativity and innovativeness to meet assigned monthly goals.
- Participates in sales meetings, on-site training, and trade events to maintain a high level of product/supplier knowledge.
- Utilizes Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word & PowerPoint) to create sell sheets and presentations. Submits orders utilizing company software and hardware (tablet).
- Reviews customers’ credit status, collects monies, submits checks/cash in accordance with company procedures.
- Assists with merchandising products, as well as stocking shelves and packing out.
Skills/Requirements:
The ideal candidate will be goal orientated with a strong attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize within a multi-tasking environment. Highly motivated with the ability to work calmly under pressure and meet tight deadlines; must possess strong analytical, negotiation and conflict resolution skills. Excellent presentation, verbal and written communication skills are also required. Must demonstrate intermediate level of proficiency within Microsoft Office applications. This role requires lifting and carrying of a 40+ pound case of product on a regular basis and requires extensive travel throughout assigned territory with personal vehicle; must possess ability to merchandise at the retail level.
Education/Experience:
- 2-3 years’ industry experience within the distribution, hospitality, and supplier community.
- Demonstrated sales skills strongly preferred.
- College degree and beverage industry experience a plus.
