We are currently supporting a rapidly growing laboratory automation and life sciences technology organisation in the search for a Sales Specialist to drive strategic growth across key biotech and pharmaceutical accounts in the US.

This is an exciting opportunity to join an innovative business operating at the forefront of laboratory automation, robotics integration, and digital transformation within life sciences. The company partners with leading biotech and pharmaceutical organisations to deliver advanced automation and workflow solutions that enable scalable, connected, and highly efficient laboratory environments.


The business is seeking an experienced commercial professional with a strong understanding of life sciences technology, automation platforms, scientific software, or laboratory informatics, who is capable of managing complex enterprise sales cycles and building long-term strategic partnerships.


The Opportunity

This role will focus on driving new business growth and expanding strategic customer relationships.

You will work closely with scientific, engineering, and leadership teams to position advanced automation and orchestration solutions to organisations seeking to modernize and scale laboratory operations.

This is a highly consultative sales role suited to someone comfortable navigating complex technical environments and engaging with stakeholders across scientific, operational, and executive functions.


Key Responsibilities

  • Drive new business development across biotech, pharma, CRO, and research organisations
  • Develop and execute strategic territory and account plans
  • Manage complex enterprise sales cycles from initial engagement through to close
  • Build relationships with scientific leaders, automation teams, lab operations, and procurement stakeholders
  • Identify opportunities for laboratory automation, workflow optimisation, and digital transformation
  • Collaborate closely with internal engineering and solutions teams to develop tailored client solutions
  • Represent the business at industry conferences, scientific meetings, and networking events
  • Maintain strong market awareness across lab automation, robotics, AI-enabled laboratory technologies, and digital lab ecosystems


Candidate Profile

  • Proven experience within life sciences, laboratory automation, scientific software, robotics, or related technology sales
  • Experience selling Laboratory automation platforms
  • Strong track record of enterprise-level business development and revenue generation
  • Experience selling into biotech, pharma, CROs, or research institutions
  • Ability to manage technically complex and consultative sales processes
  • Strong commercial acumen and stakeholder management skills
  • Comfortable operating within a fast-paced, high-growth environment
  • Existing network within the US biotech/pharma ecosystem highly desirable
