Job Description:
Ensure that the salesmen reporting to you achieve the most effective distribution and market coverage and follow agreed journey plans through effective control, coaching and constant contact with every salesperson in your team and with the trade. Provide solutions so as to ensure both sell in & sell out are consistent to meet set targets
Ensure that the Sales executive & Account Executive have the necessary skills to manage their stock, route plans cash and credit collections.
Ensure assigned Sales promoters are trained on product features, pricing & upselling skills so as to meet the set targets
Accountable for the level of customer service provided by the sales force & responsible for the training, development and field effectiveness of the sales personnel reporting to you.
Report on market and competitive developments to the Regional Manager taking a pro-active role in recommending operational improvements from sales, brand/product sales & overall route performance
Must be able to build & maintain relationships with all retailers, must have excellent knowledge of Arabic & understanding of various customer culture.

Job Responsibilities:
1- Functional
- Ensure that the sales-force (Sales rep, Account executives & Sales promoters) are properly equipped, trained and motivated to achieve their objectives- Sales target, collection, NPI brief to the trade & Sell out
- Work in the market on a regular basis with all sales personnel to assist them in managing customer issues, improving performance and providing guidance and training.
- Check and approve requisitions for stock & stock returns to warehouse
- Ensure key account & top retailer have monthly & quarterly targets to drive sell in
- Ensure sales promoters are trained on product features to drive sell out
- Review weekly the range carried and the coverage achieved per salesman and recommend additions, deletions within routes in order to increase market share.
- Conduct random market audits in the field to ensure that the reported results are correct.
- Review and analyse sales force achievements to ensure company objectives are being achieved and control systems adhered to.
- Establish and maintain a high profile with customers at all levels especially top 20% of customers under Key accounts, Independent retail stores of A, B & C class within your assigned territory.
- Assist your salesmen in identifying and pursuing new business opportunities via expansion of the customer base, range extensions or merchandising changes.
- Report market and competitive activities to your manager with recommendations on actions and objectives that should be undertaken.
- Ensure that all vans, stocks, tabs etc are maintained to a high standard.
2- Organisation
- Frequently review the sales priorities, planning and presentation of the salesforce ensuring that they are continuously aware of all stock issues, pricing fluctuations, credit outstanding & overdue etc
- Frequently review the Journey plans, stock levels and operational effectiveness of the van sales representatives to maximize market penetration and coverage.
- Accompany each salesman in the market for a minimum of 3 days a week.
- Ensure that all salesmen receive a completed assessment form with agreed follow-up objectives within 2 working days of the accompanied fieldwork report, this can be on a simple one page document
- Conduct annual and six monthly appraisals for all salesmen reporting to you.
- Submit a monthly market visit plan to your Manager.
3- Financial
- Ensure that the volume and value sales targets by brand allocated to you by your manager are achieved.
- Recommend on changes to credit terms (days & limit) and assist salesmen achieve the company credit to sales ratio target.
- Conduct daily stock and cash reconciliation with the assistance of store keeper/cashier
- Authorise Salesmen’s requests, agreed price protection and repairs.
Job Duties
You should plan your time to be divided as follows:
1. SALES ACTIVITIES 70%
- Fieldwork with Salesmen
- Distribution (coverage, credit collection, aging clearance)
- Brand & product range coverage & sales
- Assessment of competition, dealer shelf share etc
2. TEAM MANAGEMENT 15%
- In-House Training of sales executive & sales promoters
- Performance reviews of assigned team
- Team meetings(target vs achievement, coverage, collection, sell out, review & revise sell in & sell out executions etc)
3. ADMINISTRATION & REPORTING 15%
- Authorization of stock requisition
- Assist for Sales planning
- Stock take / reconciliation
