Young Living is looking for a detail-oriented, hardworking, tax associate. This role is responsible for providing support to the tax department and be responsible for the preparation, filing, and payment of sales tax returns for multiple state and city locations, along with various sales tax department projects. Training and Development- Relationship Management
- Sales Tax Laws Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Experience filing of sales and use tax returns
- Experience using Vertex O Series, Vertex Returns and Reporting
- Experience with account reconciliations
- Experience with State audits
- Ability to follow established processes and directions
- Working knowledge in using JD Edwards accounting software
- Skilled in project management, analytical, interpersonal, oral, and written communication
- Professionalism, dependability, integrity, self-accountability, and trustworthiness combined with a cooperative attitude
- Ability to work in a team
- Advanced Word and formulas, formatting, and tables in Excel
Supervisory Responsibility
This position will supervise some of the tasks completed by Level I and Level II employees.
Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. The role routinely uses standard office equipment such as a laptop, desktop, photocopiers, shredders, and filing cabinets. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Essential oils are worn and/or diffused in the work environment.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to use manual dexterity to handle, feel, and operate objects, tools, and controls and reach with hands and arms. This individual is frequently required to stand, talk, and hear. Specific vision abilities by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus. The employee is required to type, file, and lift office supplies up to 20 pounds. The employee must be physically able to tolerate the scent of essential oils worn or diffused.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This position requires the incumbent to be physically present at the assigned worksite. The regular schedule is from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., with an hour lunch, Monday through Friday. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
Required Education and Experience
Recent graduates welcome!!!
Bachelor's degree in a related field from a four-year college/university or equivalent experience plus four years of related experience.
Or
Associate degree in accounting, business, or related area; or completion of a specialized course of study at a business or trade school; or job-specific skills acquired through on-the-job-training or apprenticeship program. Six plus years’ related experience.
