Sales / Technical Support Specialist

Overview:

CAMI Research Inc., a U.S. manufacturer of professional-grade cable and wiring test systems, is seeking a dedicated and technically skilled Sales / Technical Support Specialist to join our growing team.

This position plays a critical role in supporting customers before and after the sale, providing technical guidance, preparing quotations, and ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will combine strong technical aptitude with proven sales experience—preferably within the electrical or electronics industry.

An Electrical Engineering background is highly desirable; however, candidates with related engineering or technical experience and demonstrated sales success will be considered.

Responsibilities:

Technical Sales

· Respond to inbound sales inquiries via phone and email.

· Evaluate customer applications and recommend appropriate cable and wiring test solutions.

· Prepare detailed quotations and proposals based on customer requirements.

· Follow up on open quotes and assist customers through the purchasing process.

· Coordinate with engineering and production teams to ensure accurate specifications and delivery timelines.

Technical Support

· Provide pre-sale and post-sale technical assistance to customers.

· Troubleshoot hardware and software-related issues with CAMI test systems.

· Interpret wiring diagrams, test requirements, and technical documentation.

· Assist customers with setup, calibration, and general product use.

· Document support cases and communicate recurring issues internally for continuous improvement.

Customer Relationship Management

· Build long-term relationships with customers in industrial and military sectors.

· Maintain clear and professional communication at all times.

· Identify opportunities for additional sales or system upgrades.

· Represent CAMI’s commitment to quality and technical excellence.

Requirements:

· Technical sales experience, preferably in the electrical, electronics, or industrial equipment field.

· Strong understanding of electrical systems, wiring, connectors, and test equipment.

· Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical documentation.

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.

· Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

· Ability to manage multiple tasks and customer requests simultaneously.

· Proficiency with standard office software and CRM or quoting systems.

· Self-motivated, dependable, and comfortable working in a small business environment.

· Authorized to work in the United States.

Preferred Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related engineering discipline.

· Experience with cable and harness testing equipment.

· Fluent in Spanish.

· Background in manufacturing or industrial technical sales.

· Experience supporting hardware and software-based systems.

· Experience working for a small company.

· Experience working for a manufacturing company.

· Familiarity with quality standards in industrial or military environments.

Work Environment:

· Full-time, salary position (40 hours per week).

· Monday through Friday.

· In-person role at our Acton, MA facility.
