As part of how we serve the industry, we run a two-day Interactive Live Sales School. This virtual training event is led by a 20-year D2D veteran and attended by 75 or more sales professionals per cohort from companies across multiple D2D verticals.

Position Summary

We are hiring a Sales Trainer to help deliver our Sales School program two days per week and contribute to business development activities the remainder of the week. This is a full-time, on-site position based in our Mesa, Arizona office.

The Sales Trainer will learn and integrate into our existing training system. The role begins with shadowing and developing emcee skills, then expands to leading live Q&A sessions and supporting keynote delivery for cohorts of 75 or more participants. Outside of training days, the role includes outbound business development to D2D executives to schedule discovery calls for our consulting services.

Schedule

  • Training days (2 days per week, on-site in Mesa): Approximately 6 hours of live Zoom training delivery plus preparation, totaling approximately 15 hours per week of training-related work.
  • Business development (3 days per week): Outbound outreach to D2D executives to schedule discovery calls for HIRE's consulting services.

Key Responsibilities

Sales School Training:

  • Co-host and emcee the two-day live Sales School event on Zoom.
  • Lead four live Q&A sessions per cohort, addressing questions on door-to-door sales, direct sales, growth, development, and related topics.
  • Support keynote delivery and maintain participant engagement throughout multi-hour sessions.
  • Learn and apply HIRE's existing training methodology.
  • Provide feedback to improve the training program over time.

Business Development:

  • Conduct outbound calls and outreach to door-to-door industry executives, including owners, VPs of Sales, and sales leaders.
  • Schedule discovery calls for HIRE's consulting services.
  • Manage personal pipeline and follow-up activities.
  • Open, close, or run full-cycle deals depending on opportunity.

Required Qualifications

  • 4 or more years of direct door-to-door sales experience in any vertical, such as solar, pest control, roofing, alarms, or telecommunications.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in the D2D industry, such as team lead, sales manager, regional leader, or training program owner.
  • Documented experience training groups of 10 or more people on a consistent, recurring basis, either virtually or in person.
  • Strong verbal communication skills and ability to deliver engaging content to large virtual audiences.
  • Ability to work on-site in Mesa, Arizona on scheduled training days.
  • Professional appearance suitable for on-camera training delivery.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience hosting live events, delivering keynotes, or emceeing.
  • Established network within the D2D executive community.
  • Prior outbound sales development (SDR or BDR) experience.
  • Experience with Zoom or similar virtual training platforms.

Compensation

  • Base Salary (Training Portion): $6,000 per month ($72,000 annually).
  • Commission per Closed Deal: $1,500 for opening or closing only, up to $4,000 for full cycle.
  • Estimated On-Target Earnings: $120,000 to $200,000+ depending on performance.
  • Schedule: 2 days on-site training plus 3 days outbound business development.

Earnings disclaimer: Commission earnings vary based on individual performance, sales activity, and deal mix. The OTE range provided reflects estimated earnings for performing employees and is not a guarantee. Base salary is guaranteed; commission is variable.

Pay: $90,000.00 - $200,000.00 per year
