Position Overview:
The Sales Training Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing training programs aimed at improving the performance and effectiveness. This role requires a strategic thinker who can assess training needs, create learning materials, deliver training sessions, and track performance improvements. The Sales Training Manager will work closely with sales leadership to ensure that training programs are aligned with company goals and sales objectives.

PLEASE NOTE: We are looking for a leader! This means someone who runs the training and also sells alongside their team. Someone not afraid of getting on the phones for sales pitches is a key part to this role, which requires significant phone time.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Selling EVERY day!
  • Training Development & Delivery:
  • Design, develop, and implement sales training programs for new hires and ongoing development for existing team members.
  • Create training materials, modules, and resources that support a variety of learning styles
  • Deliver engaging, interactive, and informative training sessions to improve sales skills and product knowledge.
  • Needs Assessment & Program Design:
  • Conduct assessments of the sales team's strengths, weaknesses, and development needs.
  • Work closely with sales leadership to define key performance metrics and training objectives.
  • Ongoing Sales Team Development:
  • Provide coaching and mentorship to individual sales team members, especially during the onboarding process, and transition stage from business development to sales.
  • Track and measure the effectiveness of training programs through key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in sales training to continually improve training content.
  • Collaboration/Communication:
  • Partner with HR, and Sales Leadership to align training efforts with broader business goals (PIPs, etc)
  • Communicate training progress and results to leadership and recommend improvements or changes as necessary.
  • Sales Tools & Technology Integration:
  • Ensure that the sales team is proficient in the use of sales tools, CRM software, and other technologies that enhance productivity.
  • Integrate sales technology with training programs, ensuring that training and tools are aligned and complementary.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Sales Trainer, Sales Manager, or similar role with a strong background in sales.
  • Expertise in training design, delivery, and assessment.
  • Strong communication
  • Strong analytical skills to assess training outcomes and identify areas for improvement.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Familiarity with phone sales methodologies

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with remote and virtual training delivery.
  • Certification in training, coaching, or sales methodologies.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced sales environment. (one call close model preferred).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
