Position: Sales Designer

Poggenpohl is seeking a seasoned industry professional to join our team. In this role, you will collaborate with architects, interior designers, and homeowners to create stunning, functional designs that elevate spaces. You will be the bridge between design and execution, helping clients bring their visions to life while driving sales and expanding our business.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with architects, interior designers, builders, and end-users to expand the client base and drive sales growth.
  • Design kitchens and interior spaces that align with client needs, ensuring every detail reflects their vision.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact, guiding clients from initial consultation through project completion with unparalleled service.
  • Schedule and conduct engaging client meetings, presentations, and showroom consultations to present design solutions.
  • Accurately measure spaces to support precise design and ordering processes for cabinetry and fixtures.
  • Collaborate with technical designers and project managers to ensure cohesive design solutions and outstanding client satisfaction.
  • Review architectural drawings and orders to ensure accuracy and completeness for installation.
  • Conduct site visits at key project milestones to verify quality and alignment with design plans.
  • Represent the company at industry events and functions, upholding our brand’s reputation.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years experience in sales and design with a demonstrated ability to drive revenue growth.
  • High-end retail experience a must

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or a related field preferred.

Skills:

  • In-depth knowledge of interior design, space planning, and residential construction.
  • Proficiency in reading and creating architectural plans and design drawings.
  • Strong design and technical skills, including AutoCAD, hand drafting and Microsoft Suite.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to foster strong client relationships.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage all project aspects effectively.
  • Proactive problem-solving and excellent time management to meet project deadlines.
  • Professional demeanor, positive attitude, and a passion for delivering superior client service.

Base Salary: $75,000 + 10% Commission

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $75,000.00 per year
