Your Mission

The Salesforce Data Cloud Data Engineer is a key member of our CDP engineering team, responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing data solutions within the Salesforce Data Cloud platform. This role focuses on building robust data pipelines, ensuring high data quality, and enabling advanced analytics to support business growth and strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in Salesforce Data Cloud, data integration, and cloud technologies, combined with strong analytical and communication skills.

What You’ll Do
Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL processes to ingest, transform, and manage data within the Salesforce Data Cloud environment.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, data
scientists, and Salesforce administrators, to understand data requirements and deliver actionable solutions.
Implement best practices for data modeling, data governance, security, and compliance within the Salesforce ecosystem.
Optimize existing data flows for performance, reliability, and cost-efficiency.
Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve data quality issues, ensuring data integrity and accuracy across systems.
Leverage APIs and integration tools to connect Salesforce Data Cloud with external data sources like Snowflake and third-party applications.
Document technical processes, data flows, and system architectures to support ongoing maintenance and knowledge transfer.
Stay current with Salesforce Data Cloud advancements and industry trends, recommending innovative solutions to enhance data capabilities.
What You Bring
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
5+ years of professional experience in data engineering, with at least 3 years specializing in Salesforce Data Cloud (formerly Salesforce Customer Data Platform or Salesforce CDP).
Expertise in designing and implementing data pipelines using Salesforce Data Cloud tools and features.
Strong proficiency with data modeling concepts in Snowflake and ETL tools.
Experience integrating Salesforce with external systems using APIs (REST, SOAP) and middleware platforms (e.g., MuleSoft, Informatica).
Hands-on knowledge of cloud platforms such as Snowflake and AWS particularly as they relate to data storage and processing.
Solid understanding of data governance, security, privacy, and compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
Proven ability to analyze complex data sets and translate business requirements into technical solutions.
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.
Salesforce certifications (e.g., Salesforce Data Cloud Consultant, Salesforce Platform Developer, Salesforce Integration Architect).
Experience with data visualization and reporting tools (e.g., Tableau).
Familiarity with machine learning concepts and advanced analytics.
Agile development experience and familiarity with DevOps practices.
