Job Summary:
The Salesman is responsible for assisting customers, promoting products, and ensuring an excellent shopping experience within the store. The role focuses on product knowledge, customer engagement, merchandising support, and achieving sales targets while maintaining proper stock display and store standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Assistance:

Greet and assist customers in a professional and friendly manner.

Identify customer needs and recommend suitable products.

Provide accurate information about product features, prices, and promotions.

Address customer questions and resolve basic concerns.
Sales & Product Promotion:

Promote products and current offers to increase sales.

Achieve assigned sales targets and support overall store revenue goals.

Upsell and cross-sell products where appropriate.

Inform customers about discounts, loyalty programs, and promotional campaigns.
Merchandising & Store Presentation:

Ensure products are properly displayed according to store standards.

Maintain clean, organized, and attractive shelves and displays.

Assist with product placement, shelf arrangement, and promotional setups.

Monitor product expiry dates and remove damaged or expired items.
Inventory Support:

Monitor stock levels in the assigned section.

Report low stock or fast-moving items to the supervisor.

Assist in stock replenishment and shelf refilling.

Participate in stock counts and inventory audits when required.
Operational Compliance:

Follow company policies and procedures related to sales and store operations.

Coordinate with cashiers for customer purchases when needed.

Ensure price labels and barcodes are accurate and visible.
Maintain discipline and professional conduct during working hours.
Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Previous retail or sales experience preferred.
