Salon Assistant/ Receptionist

At Regional Hair & Co., our Assistants/Receptionists are an important part of creating a welcoming, luxury experience for every guest who walks through our doors. This role combines front desk responsibilities, salon support, guest care, and team assistance to help maintain a clean, organized, and positive salon environment.

We are looking for someone who is professional, friendly, motivated, dependable, and able to multitask in a fast-paced setting while maintaining excellent customer service.

Responsibilities Include:

Front Desk & Guest Experience

• Greeting clients upon arrival and creating a welcoming atmosphere
• Checking clients in and out for appointments
• Answering phone calls, texts, and booking appointments
• Assisting with retail sales and product recommendations
• Managing salon scheduling and helping maintain stylist schedules
• Offering beverages and ensuring guests are comfortable throughout their visit
• Handling client questions professionally and positively

Salon Assistant Duties

• Assisting stylists during services when needed
• Shampooing and preparing clients for appointments
• Mixing color and preparing supplies as directed by stylists
• Cleaning brushes, bowls, styling tools, and stations
• Folding towels, restocking products, and maintaining salon organization
• Sweeping and helping keep the salon clean throughout the day
• Assisting with laundry and daily salon upkeep

Team Support & Salon Expectations

• Maintaining a positive and professional attitude
• Being punctual, reliable, and team-oriented
• Helping create a smooth workflow throughout the salon
• Supporting salon promotions, social media content, and client experience initiatives when needed
• Willingness to learn, grow, and continue education within the beauty industry

Qualifications

• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to multitask and stay organized
• Professional appearance and positive attitude
• Basic computer and scheduling knowledge preferred
• Salon experience is a plus, but willing to train the right candidate
• Cosmetology student or licensed cosmetologist preferred for assistant positions

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
