Sample Accessioner

Job Description:

We are seeking a Sample Accessioner to fill a permanent full-time position on our team with the primary responsibility of receiving specimens in the laboratory and entering information into our Laboratory Information System from paper documents. Someone who will work hard, be a team player, have a positive attitude, and possess the drive to be successful. The ideal candidate will possess the following qualities:

• proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite of tools
• keen eye for detail

Responsibilities

• Receive and sort clinical lab specimens
• Scan and/or data entry of specimen and patient information
• Accurately identify and label specimens
• Prepare specimens for testing and analysis
• Troubleshoot any specimen related issues
• Ensure all lab equipment is working properly and perform minor instrumentation maintenance
• Replenish test bench supplies as needed
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment

Compliance with applicable Regulations and OpAns procedures

Adherence to CAP, CLIA, HIPAA, FDA, EPA, and OSHA requirements

Other Duties: Perform other duties as agreed by management
