Sandwich Maker/Barista

Join our growing bagel shop as a Sandwich Maker and Barista! In this role, you'll craft delicious sandwiches, serve hand-crafted coffee, and deliver exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in food preparation, retail math, and food safety while working alongside a friendly, dedicated team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and assemble a variety of fresh sandwiches, wraps, and other food items according to established recipes and quality standards
• Brew and serve a wide range of coffee beverages, ensuring consistency and excellence in every cup
• Operate POS systems such as Toast POS
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the area, adhering to food safety and sanitation guidelines
• Provide friendly, attentive customer service by taking orders, answering questions, and offering product recommendations
• Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service and accurate order fulfillment
• Handle cash register operations with accuracy, including basic math calculations for transactions and change

Qualifications

• Previous barista experience or coffee industry knowledge is highly preferred
• Experience in food handling, food preparation, or food service environments is advantageous
• Familiarity with POS systems
• Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during peak hours
• Excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude and clear communication abilities
• Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team in a fast-paced bagel shop
