Job Title: S/4HANA ABAP Developer

Experience: 6–8+ Years

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled SAP S/4HANA ABAP Developer with deep hands-on experience in RAP, CDS Views, OData services, and HANA performance optimization. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in building scalable, enterprise-grade applications within S/4HANA and integrating with modern SAP technologies such as BTP Business Process Automation (BPA) and Fiori/UI5.

You will collaborate closely with functional and technical teams to design, implement, and optimize innovative SAP solutions that are efficient, secure, and future-ready.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, enhance, and optimize custom applications using S/4HANA ABAP and RAP (RESTful ABAP Programming Model).
• Design and build CDS Views for both analytical and transactional use cases.
• Create and expose OData services (w/ annotations & metadata extensions) for Fiori/UI5 applications.
• Implement classical RICEF objects (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms) with a focus on performance, scalability, and maintainability.
• Optimize existing solutions using HANA pushdown techniques, AMDPs, SQL Script, and query optimization.
• Work with Fiori Elements to build modern, responsive UI applications integrated with backend services.
• Implement enhancements using BAdIs, User Exits, Enhancement Points, etc.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve issues in complex S/4HANA environments.
• Integrate and automate business processes using SAP BTP Business Process Automation (BPA).
• Partner with cross-functional teams (Functional Consultants, Fiori/UI5 Developers, Integration Specialists) to deliver end-to-end solutions.
• Maintain high-quality technical documentation and support code reviews.

Required Skills & Experience

• 6–8+ years of SAP ABAP development experience, including 3+ years on S/4HANA.
• Strong hands-on expertise in:
• ABAP CDS Views (Core Data Services)
• ABAP RAP (RESTful Application Programming) – strong fundamentals required
• OData Services (Gateway, annotations, Fiori/UI5 consumption)
• HANA (code pushdown, SQL Script, AMDP, performance tuning)
• Proven experience with RICEF and enhancement frameworks (BAdIs, User Exits, Enhancement Spots).
• Strong debugging and performance analysis skills in S/4HANA.
• Experience with Fiori Elements and UI5-based applications.
• Familiarity with SAP BTP BPA integration and automation (advantage).
• Strong coding discipline, structured design approach, and documentation habits.
• Ability to work in Agile environments and collaborate with multi-functional teams.

Good to Have

• Exposure to SAP BTP services beyond BPA (e.g., CAP, Workflow, Integration Suite).
• Experience with CI/CD, Git, ATC/Code Inspector, ABAP Test Cockpit.
• Knowledge of event-driven architecture and cloud enablement strategies.

Job Types: Part-time, Freelance
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
