Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Sr. SAP Basis Consultant with strong hands-on expertise in managing, upgrading, migrating, and administering complex SAP landscapes across on-premise and cloud environments. The role involves leading technical projects, ensuring high availability, performance tuning, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, scalable, and optimized SAP systems.

Key Responsibilities

● Lead the architecture, design, installation, configuration, and administration of SAP systems (S/4HANA, ECC, BW/4HANA, CRM, SCM, PI/PO, Solution Manager, Fiori, BTP, CPI, EP, Portal, BOBJ, GRC, GTS, Cloud Connector, Document Services).

● Perform SAP installations, upgrades, migrations, system refreshes, system copies, HANA upgrades, database upgrades, kernel upgrades, and patching.

● Execute S/4HANA Conversions, Upgrades, and Migrations (on-premise to cloud, OS/DB migration, HANA migration using SUM/DMO).

● Administer and maintain SAP HANA, Sybase, MSSQL, Oracle, DB2, MaxDB (with strong focus on HANA & Sybase).

● Design and implement High Availability (HA), Disaster Recovery (DR), and backup solutions.

● Configure and manage Solution Manager 7.2 (Early Watch Reports, system monitoring, root cause analysis, system diagnostics).

● Collaborate with application, infrastructure, security, and project management teams to ensure SAP landscape stability and optimization.

● Provide technical direction for SAP system landscape strategy and roadmap.

● Perform root cause analysis for performance bottlenecks and complex issues.

● Support SAP licensing, security, Single Sign-On (SSO), user access management, and audit compliance requirements.

● Mentor junior Basis administrators and provide guidance to support teams.

● Be flexible to work on weekends and night shifts as per project needs.

Skills & Experience

● 7+ years of experience as an SAP Basis Consultant.

● Strong expertise in SAP Basis administration and core system management.

● Hands-on experience with technical planning, implementation, upgrades, migration, and maintenance of SAP modules both on-premise and on cloud (AWS/Azure/Linux/Windows).

● Deep knowledge of HANA administration, HANA HA/DR, HANA Replication, Backup & Recovery, and performance tuning.

● Strong knowledge of OS/DB Migration and Code Conversion.

● Hands-on experience with system refresh, client copy, client export/import.

● Proficiency in configuring SAP Application Security, Infrastructure Security, SSO technologies.

● Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure).

● Familiarity with automation tools for BASIS activities is a big plus.

● Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication (verbal & written) skills.

Mandatory Certifications

● SAP Basis and HANA related Certifications (OS/DB Migration or SAP BASIS Fundamentals with HANA DB).

Job Type: Contractual / Temporary
Contract length: 6 months

Pay: ₹90,000.00 - ₹100,000.00 per month
