Job Title: SAP Basis Techno-Functional Consultant

Location: Remote (Eastern Europe / India / Egypt preferred)
Contract Duration: 12 Months (6 months implementation + 6 months support)
Industry: Retail (SAP S/4HANA IS Retail)

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced SAP Basis Techno-Functional Consultant to support a large-scale SAP S/4HANA (IS Retail) transformation programme. This role will be responsible for managing the SAP landscape, system performance, and technical architecture, while also supporting functional teams across the implementation lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain the SAP S/4HANA landscape (on-premise / cloud environments)
• Perform system installations, upgrades, patches, and migrations
• Monitor and optimize system performance, availability, and security
• Support transport management and system refresh activities
• Collaborate with functional teams (FICO, SD, MM) to support technical dependencies and integrations
• Manage user roles, authorisations, and access controls
• Work closely with infrastructure and cloud teams (Azure / AWS / OCI)
• Support cutover planning, go-live, and hypercare activities
• Troubleshoot and resolve system issues and performance bottlenecks
• Ensure system stability, compliance, and governance standards

Key Requirements

• 8-12+ years' experience in SAP Basis / technical roles
• Strong experience with SAP S/4HANA (mandatory)
• Mandatory: IS Retail project experience
• Minimum 3 end-to-end SAP implementations
• Experience with:
  • System installations, upgrades, and migrations
  • Performance tuning and monitoring
  • SAP transport management
• Exposure to cloud environments (Azure, AWS, OCI)
• Strong understanding of SAP architecture and integration layers
• Ability to work independently and support technical governance

Preferred Skills

• Experience with SAP RISE / cloud-based SAP deployments
• Exposure to security and GRC concepts
• Knowledge of high availability and disaster recovery setups
• Arabic language skills (preferred but not essential)
