SAP Consultant - Authorization

Role Objective

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain SAP user roles and authorizations across all SAP technologies and Systems, including ECC, BW, MOC, GRC, Fiori, SuccessFactors, BusinessObjects, and related platforms.
• Perform user access provisioning, including creation, modification, and deactivation of user accounts in line with company security policies.
• Provide support for SAP Identity Management processes, including user provisioning, role assignments, and access lifecycle management.
• Collaborate with business and IT teams to gather access requirements and translate them into compliant role designs and development.
• Work closely with business and support teams to troubleshoot issues related to user access to identify and implement appropriate solutions.
• Ensure that service level agreements (SLAs) are consistently met through effective day-to-day operational support.
• Contribute towards Sectional KPI’s (Key Performance Indicator) and targets that are aligned to the ERP Competency Centre and Directorate objectives.
• Perform periodic reviews of SAP user access, roles, and segregation of duties (SoD) risks, and support access recertification activities to ensure access and SoD risks are properly maintained within Organization.
• Manage and maintain SAP user delegation assignments across all SAP Systems
• Design and develop Role matrix in coordination with all the stake holders to position based roles and continually monitor and review the Authorization changes.
• Provide technical expertise and integrated approach to achieve corporate vision by implementing SAP Security solutions
• Ensure Business continuity, Disaster recovery and managing risks of SAP system landscape in alignment with Organization’s ICT cyber security requirements
• Utilize SAP GRC Access Control components to perform day to day support, such as to define risks, conduct risk analysis and monitor for continuous improvements and compliance.
• Provide daily SAP GRC Access Control support by defining risks, conducting risk analysis, managing Firefighter (emergency access) IDs, and monitoring activities to ensure compliance
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, audit requirements, and regulatory standards (e.g., SOX).
• Assist during internal and external audits by providing access reports, risk assessments, and remediation evidence.
• Document authorization concepts, role designs, procedures, and governance controls.
• Support SAP projects, upgrades, Reorganizations, and changes by ensuring secure and compliant authorization design.
• Provide guidance and best practices on SAP Authorizations and GRC processes.

Educational Qualification

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering or equivalent.
• SAP Certification in IT/SAP Security is preferable.

Professional Experience

• A total of 9 years professional work experience that includes: a minimum of 7 years hands-on in SAP implementation / support experience including at least 3 full life cycle implementation projects as SAP Security consultant.

Experience:
