Role Purpose

The SAP Development Manager leads SAP engineering capabilities across ABAP, Fiori/UI5, BTP extensions, and system integrations.
This role ensures Claritev can build, enhance, support, and scale SAP solutions internally with reduced vendor dependency, strong delivery discipline, and sustainable knowledge retention.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor SAP developers across ABAP, Fiori/UI5, BTP, and integration tracks
• Own delivery of enhancements, customizations, workflows, interfaces, and automation builds
• Define coding standards, peer reviews, transport governance, and sprint delivery discipline
• Partner with Product Owner & Scrum Master for backlog planning and sizing
• Act as escalation leader for complex break-fix and performance issues
• Implement modern development patterns — RAP/CAP, OData, API-based integrations
• Build in-house capability by driving structured KT into internal knowledge
• Improve velocity, reusability, and stability of development assets
• Work directly with functional teams to convert requirements into scalable technical design

Skills & Experience Requirements

• 7+ years hands-on SAP development experience (ABAP, CDS, Enhancements, RICEFW)
• Working exposure to BTP, CPI, UI5/Fiori, and extensibility frameworks (RAP/CAP preferred)
• Experience leading developers or overseeing technical delivery
• Ability to govern code quality, performance, and secure transport handling
• High comfort level in production firefighting and accelerated troubleshooting
• Strong communicator — able to work with finance, security, product, and integrations
