The Role: What You’ll Do

As our SAP FICO Consultant, you will own the design, configuration, implementation, and optimization of our SAP Financial Accounting (FI) and Controlling (CO) modules. You will act as the crucial link between our corporate accounting department and our technology infrastructure, ensuring financial transparency and streamlined inventory costing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Module Configuration: Lead end-to-end configuration and optimization of core SAP FI sub-modules (GL, AP, AR, Asset Accounting, Bank Ledger) and CO sub-modules (Cost Center Accounting, Profit Center Accounting, Product Costing, and Profitability Analysis).
• Business Process Integration: Ensure flawless integration of SAP FICO with logistical modules (MM and SD) to keep a tight handle on procurement, inventory valuations, and manufacturing costs.
• Custom Enhancement & Reporting: Collaborate with ABAP developers to design custom tables, reports, interfaces, and enhancements tailored to APC Furniture’s unique operational requirements.
• Support & Troubleshooting: Provide robust day-to-day production support, resolving system exceptions during critical monthly and year-end financial closings.
• Continuous Upgrades: Stay at the forefront of enterprise technology, assisting in our ongoing landscape optimization and paving the roadmap for future SAP S/4HANA transitions.

What We Are Looking For (Requirements)

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Finance, Accounting, or a related field. (SAP FICO Certification is highly desirable).
• Experience: 4–7 years of hands-on experience as an SAP FICO Consultant. Experience working within the retail, manufacturing, or supply chain sectors is preferred.
• Deep Domain Expertise: Proficient understanding of financial processes, product costing mechanics, local Qatari tax compliance requirements, and corporate governance structures.
• Technical Versatility: Strong grasp of automated banking interfaces, data migration procedures (LSMW/LTMC), and the generation of functional specifications.
• Problem-Solving Ability: A meticulous, analytical mindset capable of tracing data integrity errors down to the ledger line item.
• Communication: Flawless professional communication skills in English; the ability to translate technical SAP jargon into actionable insights for non-technical finance teams.
