Senior SAP FI/CO Consultant (Costing / Production / GL / Group Reporting / Funds) - Onsite - Riyadh - Permanent
Job Purpose:
The Senior SAP FI/CO Consultant will provide expert-level functional and strategic guidance in SAP Financials and Controlling. This role focuses on delivering end-to-end finance solutions, including Costing, Production Accounting, General Ledger (GL), Group Reporting, and Funds Management. The consultant will work across public and private cloud environments, ensuring best practices in financial process design, compliance, and cross-module integration. The role is critical for optimizing financial operations, ensuring accurate reporting, and supporting both public-sector and private-sector requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Solution Design and Implementation

Lead the design, configuration, and deployment of SAP FI/CO modules, including Costing, Production Accounting, GL, Group Reporting, and Funds Management.

Conduct workshops and blueprinting sessions to capture business requirements and translate them into SAP solutions.

Configure financial processes in line with statutory, corporate, and public-sector accounting standards.

Ensure integration between FI/CO and other SAP modules such as MM, SD, PP, and PS.

Implement reporting solutions using SAP Group Reporting and consolidation tools to support management and statutory reporting requirements.

Advise on best practices in public-sector and private-sector financial management.
2. Project Delivery and Management

Serve as a senior functional consultant on SAP implementations, upgrades, and cloud migrations.

Prepare functional specifications, configuration documents, and technical requirements for RICEFW objects (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms, Workflows).

Support system testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT).

Provide post-go-live support, including troubleshooting, issue resolution, and system optimization.

Mentor and guide junior consultants and finance key users.
3. Continuous Improvement and Governance

Analyze current finance and controlling processes, identifying opportunities for automation, efficiency, and compliance improvements.

Support change management and user adoption strategies across SAP FI/CO.

Ensure compliance with internal controls, statutory regulations, and audit requirements.

Provide strategic insights on financial processes and cross-module integration for better business outcomes.
4. Stakeholder Engagement

Lead workshops and working sessions with finance, operations, and supply chain teams.

Act as a trusted advisor to senior finance stakeholders, including CFOs and Finance Directors.

Collaborate with global and regional teams in multi-country deployments and cloud rollouts.

Liaise with external auditors, regulators, and vendors to support compliance and reporting requirements.
Required Skills & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or Information Technology.

10+ years of hands-on SAP FI/CO experience covering Costing, Production Accounting, GL, Group Reporting, and Funds Management.

Strong experience with both public and private cloud SAP environments (S/4HANA Cloud, ECC, or hybrid deployments).

Solid understanding of public-sector finance, compliance, and reporting standards.

Proven ability to design complex financial processes, lead workshops, and manage cross-module integrations.

Knowledge of SAP Group Reporting, Fiori apps, and reporting tools.

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

Strong communication, stakeholder management, and leadership capabilities.
Desirable Skills

SAP Certification in FI, CO, or Group Reporting.

Experience in financial consolidation, management reporting, and intercompany processes.

Exposure to multi-country rollouts, public-sector finance projects, or government accounting systems.

Familiarity with SAP Activate methodology and Agile project delivery.

Experience with RICEF development and integration with other SAP modules (MM, SD, PP, PS).
