Job Title: ECC AMS SAP IBP / SAP APO

Role Overview

We are seeking a hands-on SAP Technical Consultant with strong experience in SAP ECC AMS (Application Management Services) and SAP Supply Chain modules SAP IBP and/or SAP APO . The ideal candidate will own incident/problem/change delivery in ECC, build and support IBP/APO technical integrations, and drive stability, enhancements, and performance across supply chain planning and execution processes

Key Responsibilities

AMS SAP ECC (MM/SD/PP/FI/CO as applicable)

• L2/L3 Support: Handle incidents, service requests, and problem tickets; perform root cause analysis and permanent fixes.
• Change/Release Management: Design, build, test, and deploy minor/medium enhancements (WRICEF: Workflow, Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms ).
• Technical Objects: Develop/maintain ABAP objects including Reports, ALV, Dialog programming, BAPIs, BADIs, User-Exits, Enhancements (Implicit/Explicit), SAP Scripts/SmartForms/Adobe Forms .
• Integrations: Support IDocs , ALE , RFC , SOAP/REST integrations; troubleshoot middleware flows (e.g., CPI/PI/PO).
• Performance & Quality: Optimize ABAP performance, conduct code reviews, adhere to SAP best practices and transport procedures across landscapes (DEV/QAS/PRD).
• Documentation: Create/maintain functional–technical specs, test cases, and SOPs; contribute to knowledge base articles.

SAP IBP / SAP APO (Technical)

• IBP Technical Enablement: Configure and support IBP modules (Demand, Supply, Inventory, S&OP as applicable), manage Master Data (MD) , Key Figures , Planning Areas , Time Profiles , Attribute sets , and Forecast models (with data scientist support when needed).
• Integration: Design/build robust integrations between IBP–S/4/ECC via SAP CPI/CI-DS , flat files, or APIs; manage Data Load jobs , error handling , and data harmonization .
• APO Technical Support: Support DP/SNP/GATP/PPDS technical objects, CIF integration, and performance tuning; maintain core technical configurations and batch strategies.
• Monitoring & Stability: Monitor planning jobs, data consistency checks, and system health; proactively prevent failures and SLA breaches.
• Enhancements & Automation: Develop utilities, scripts, or automation to streamline data loads, reconciliation, and planning processes.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Experience: 5–8 years in SAP Technical roles, with solid ECC AMS background and hands-on in IBP or APO (preferably both).
• ABAP Expertise: Strong in Reports, Enhancements (BADI/User-exits), IDocs/ALE, Forms; performance tuning.
• Integration Skills: Experience with SAP CPI/CI-DS or SAP PI/PO , web services (REST/SOAP), RFC/BAPI; familiarity with CIF for APO.
• Supply Chain Knowledge: Understanding of demand/supply planning, inventory optimization, and order fulfillment concepts.
• Tools & Methodology: Proficient in Solution Manager/Charm , JIRA/ServiceNow , transport management , testing (Unit/SIT/UAT) , and SLA-based operations .
• Data & Analytics: Comfortable with Excel , IBP templates , MD reconciliation , and large dataset handling; SQL basics are a plus.
• Soft Skills: Strong troubleshooting, stakeholder communication, documentation discipline, and on-call readiness.

Nice-to-Have / Preferred

• Experience in SAP S/4HANA (MM/SD/PP, PP-DS), Fiori, CDS Views.
• Exposure to IBP algorithms , Machine Learning forecast models , or time series analysis .
• Knowledge of Ariba , TM , EWM , or MDG as they intersect with planning/execution.
• Certifications: SAP ABAP , SAP IBP , APO , CPI/PI/PO .
• Experience in global AMS support models (Follow-the-sun), ITIL V3/V4 certification.

Mandatory Technical Skills

• SAP ECC AMS :
• Strong ABAP development skills: Reports, ALV, BAPIs, BADIs, User-Exits, Enhancements.
• WRICEF objects (Workflow, Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms).
• IDoc/ALE configuration and troubleshooting.
• SmartForms / SAP Scripts / Adobe Forms.
• Performance tuning and debugging in ABAP.
• Transport management across landscapes (DEV/QAS/PRD).
• SAP IBP / SAP APO :
• IBP configuration: Planning Areas, Key Figures, Time Profiles, Attributes.
• APO technical knowledge: CIF integration, DP/SNP/GATP/PPDS support.
• Integration experience: SAP CPI/CI-DS or SAP PI/PO.
• Data load management and error handling.
• Monitoring and troubleshooting planning jobs.
• Integration Skills :
• RFC/BAPI, Web Services (SOAP/REST).
• Middleware experience (CPI/CI-DS, PI/PO).

Mandatory Functional Understanding

• Supply Chain processes: Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Inventory Optimization.
• ECC modules exposure: MM, SD, PP (basic functional flow understanding).

Mandatory Tools & Methodologies

• SAP Solution Manager / ChaRM.
• Incident/Change Management tools (ServiceNow/JIRA).
• ITIL processes (Incident, Problem, Change).

Mandatory Soft Skills

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to work in SLA-driven AMS environment.
