Job Details Job Details: As a Consulting Healthcare Security Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of Information Systems Assets and protecting systems from unauthorized access or destruction. This involves a variety of tasks including network security, systems security, IS policy, security solutions, incident response, monitoring, reporting, and general Information Technology concepts. You will also provide operational, administrative, and project support for the Information Security department, as well as escalation support to senior engineers for complex issues.

Responsibilities:

• Implementing and monitoring security measures for the protection of computer systems, networks, and organizational data.
• Designing cyber security processes including Incident Response, Eradication, etc.
• Carrying out security measures to protect an organization's computer networks and systems.
• Detecting, Responding, Mitigating, Reporting, Recovering, Remediating, and Learning from security incidents.
• Identifying and defining system security requirements.
• Integrating Data Loss Prevention (DLP) solutions with enterprise data classification tools using a unified tagging framework.
• Supporting continuous data monitoring, access protection, and policy compliance across on-premises and cloud environments.
• Forecasting and recommending short- and long-term solutions and strategies; leading implementation of those strategies.
• Preparing and documenting standard operating procedures and protocols.
• Developing technical solutions and new security tools to help mitigate security vulnerabilities and automate repeatable tasks.
• Collaborating with other IS teams on incidents, remediation, security systems & solutions, communications, etc.

Qualifications: Minimum Education: Associate's degree in Computer Science or a related field required OR the equivalent combination of experience and education.

Minimum Experience: 5 years of experience in general Information Security. Healthcare experience. PCI, HIPAA, NIST experience. Security control concepts: physical, logical, administrative. Proven work experience as a system security engineer or information security engineer. Experience in working with and maintaining security systems. Detailed technical knowledge of operating system security. Hands-on experience in security systems including: intrusion detection systems, anti-virus software, authentication systems, log management, content filtering, etc. Experience with network security and networking technologies. Ability to provide after-hours and weekend support where necessary for a 24x7 incident response model. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
