Our SAP landscape supports complex make-to-order and make-to-stock processes, global procurement structures, advanced production planning, and warehouse automation.
To strengthen our SAP Competency Center team, we are seeking a Senior SAP Application Support Specialist to support our Rome, Georgia facility. This role requires deep functional and technical expertise across MM, SD, PP, and EWM and will play a key role in optimizing our manufacturing and supply chain systems.
Your Responsibilities
- Act as senior 2nd and 3rd level support for SAP modules MM, SD, PP, and EWM
- Perform root cause analysis of complex incidents, including cross-module and interface-related issues
- Lead problem management activities and implement sustainable solutions
- Drive continuous process optimization in procurement, production planning, manufacturing execution, warehouse management, and sales fulfilment
- Design and implement advanced customizing and enhancements
- Analyse and optimize integration points between MM–PP–SD–EWM as well as external systems (EDI partners, third-party logistics providers)
- Support and execute SAP transports, testing strategies and release management
- Contribute to S/4HANA transformation initiatives and system harmonization projects
- Collaborate with business process owners to translate requirements into scalable SAP solutions
- Provide technical guidance to key users
- Ensure proper documentation aligned with ITIL-based service management processes
Your Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business or related field.
- 5+ years of SAP functional experience in a manufacturing environment
- Strong hands-on experience in at least two of the following: MM, SD, PP, EWM
- Proven expertise in:
- Make-to-Order (MTO) and Make-to-Stock (MTS) scenarios
- Production planning (MRP, capacity planning, production orders)
- Warehouse structures, stock management, and EWM integration
- Pricing, delivery processing, and output management in SD
- Experience with:
- Interfaces (IDoc, EDI, RFC, APIs)
- ABAP debugging and basic enhancement techniques (user exits, BAdIs)
- S/4HANA logistics functionality
- Change and transport management
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to handle complex system landscapes
- Excellent stakeholder communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Fluent English; German is an advantage
- Willingness to travel internationally as needed (Switzerland)
