Job Summary

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans tailored to individual student needs, focusing on critical reading, grammar, vocabulary, and essay writing skills.
• Deliver dynamic tutoring sessions that motivate students and clarify complex concepts using effective presentation skills.
• Assess student progress regularly through practice tests and provide constructive feedback to improve performance.
• Incorporate learning technology tools to enhance engagement and facilitate interactive learning experiences.
• Manage classroom dynamics effectively, creating a positive environment conducive to learning for students of diverse backgrounds, including those with special education needs.
• Collaborate with students to set achievable goals and develop customized study strategies aligned with their academic aspirations.
• Maintain detailed records of student progress, lesson plans, and instructional materials to ensure continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Proven classroom experience in tutoring or teaching English or related subjects at the high school or adult education level.
• Strong knowledge of SAT exam structure, content areas, and scoring criteria.
• Excellent writing skills with the ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and effectively.
• Experience in curriculum development and lesson planning tailored to standardized test preparation.
• Familiarity with learning technology platforms used in educational settings.
• Ability to manage classroom environments confidently while engaging students actively in their learning journey.
• Background in working with students with diverse learning needs, including special education accommodations preferred.
