Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Tutor to provide personalized academic support to students across grammar and reading. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a passion for teaching, and experience working with diverse learners. Responsibilities
- Deliver one-on-one tutoring sessions in subjects such as reading, Writing, or other core areas.
- Develop and implement customized lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards and student needs.
- Utilize learning technology and digital resources to enhance instructional delivery.
- Assess student progress regularly and adjust teaching strategies accordingly.
- Maintain a positive and encouraging classroom environment conducive to learning.
- Manage classroom activities efficiently, ensuring engagement and discipline.
- Collaborate with educators and parents to support student development, including special education needs.
- Prepare instructional materials and presentations that facilitate effective learning experiences.
- Assist students in developing study skills, time management, and academic confidence.
- Stay current with educational best practices, curriculum developments, and teaching methodologies.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in tutoring or teaching, preferably with classroom management skills.
- Strong knowledge of subject matter such as Reading, Writing, or specific curriculum areas.
- Familiarity with learning technology tools and digital educational resources.
- Experience working with diverse learners, including adult education or special education populations.
- Excellent presentation skills and the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly.
- Skilled in lesson planning, curriculum development, and assessment techniques.
- Ability to work effectively with students of varying ages and backgrounds.
- Strong writing skills for creating instructional materials and reports.
- Prior classroom experience is preferred but not mandatory; enthusiasm for ongoing professional development is essential.
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 4.0 – 16.0 per week
