Due to the sad loss of our present herd manager, we are again recruiting for the position of Herd Manager for our long-established private family business.

A highly motivated cow enthusiast is required for this very important and highly skilled role for our large modern dairy farming enterprise with a beef unit together with a large arable enterprise that provides quality forage for the unit together with a potato enterprise.

The candidate will be responsible for all aspects of herd management, although this position has zero milking requirements, we are only looking for a person with extensive milking experience of at least 7 years. This role is heading up the Altukhaim team that consists of AI technicians, vets, milkers, calf rearers, youngstock and yard workers, overseeing staff, making sure strict protocols are adhered too.

We milk 3300 cows 4x currently averaging over 43 litres, with a calving interval of 377 days.
