Saw / Shear Operator

We are seeking a Saw / Shear Operator to join our team.

AFC-Holcroft located in Wixom, MI, is the largest North American heat treat equipment manufacturer, and is interested in candidates for long-term career opportunities in the capital equipment sector. Responsibilities:

· Unloading trucks with fork truck or overhead crane.

· Accurate cutting and / or sheering of various thicknesses and sizes of mild and stainless steel.

· Put steel away / organize in racks.

· Always keeping area organized and clean.

· Perform and sustain 5S Activities

· Participating in final prep for painting equipment.

· Assisting Fabrication / Assembly Millwright activities as needed

· General press brake operation

· General plasma table operation

· Deliver materials to workstations on the shop floor

Qualifications/ Experience Required:

· Prefer High School Diploma.

· Able to use and read a tape measure.

· Overhead crane and fork truck experience.

· Able to lift 50+ lbs.

· Experience on saw/ shear/plasma table/press brake always a plus, but willing to train.

· Basic blueprint & Bill of Material reading.

· Hard working and willing to get a little dirty.

· Capable of maintaining an organized and clean work environment
