Position Summary

Strickland Supplies is seeking a motivated and safety-conscious Scaffold Apprentice to join our team. This entry-level position provides hands-on training in the erection, modification, inspection, and dismantling of scaffolding systems. The Scaffold Apprentice will work under the direction of experienced Scaffold Builders and Supervisors while developing the skills and knowledge necessary to advance within the scaffold industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist Scaffold Builders with the safe erection, modification, and dismantling of scaffolding systems.
  • Learn proper scaffold assembly techniques and safety procedures.
  • Load, unload, transport, and organize scaffold materials and equipment.
  • Assist in inspecting scaffold components for damage, defects, or safety concerns.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area at all times.
  • Follow all company policies, OSHA regulations, and job site safety requirements.
  • Properly use and maintain hand tools, power tools, and personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Support inventory management and material staging activities.
  • Attend required safety meetings and training sessions.
  • Perform general labor duties as needed to support scaffold operations.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous construction or labor experience is a plus but not required.
  • Willingness to learn scaffold construction and safety practices.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and positive attitude.
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds regularly.
  • Ability to climb ladders and work at heights.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and perform physical labor throughout the workday.
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).

Career Path

This position is designed as a training role with opportunities for advancement. Successful Scaffold Apprentices may progress to Scaffold Builder, Lead Scaffold Builder, and other supervisory positions as experience and qualifications are gained.

Pay: From $19.00 per hour
