Scaffolding Designer (DM Approved)
A Scaffolding Designer creates safe, efficient scaffold plans for construction, involving CAD drawings, structural calculations, and risk assessments to meet project needs and safety codes (OSHA, BS, local standards). Key duties include site surveys, client consultation, material take-offs, technical support for erection/dismantling, and ensuring compliance with engineering principles and industry regulations, often requiring civil/structural engineering knowledge and CAD proficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Design & Drafting: Develop detailed scaffold designs, layouts, and technical drawings using CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit).
- Structural Analysis: Perform load calculations, stability analysis, and use software like STAAD for adequacy checks.
- Compliance & Safety: Ensure all designs adhere to current safety standards (OSHA, BS, EN) and local regulations, incorporating risk assessments.
- Site Liaison: Conduct site surveys, assess site information, and collaborate with project managers, site engineers, and construction teams.
- Technical Support: Provide guidance and resolve issues during erection, use, and dismantling phases.
- Documentation: Prepare design documentation, method statements, material take-offs, and reports.
Essential Skills & Qualifications
- Education: Civil or Structural Engineering degree often preferred, but experience and training can lead to qualification.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD, STAAD Pro, strong math, and understanding of engineering principles.
- Knowledge: Deep understanding of scaffolding systems, construction regulations, load-bearing capacities, and safety standards.
- Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving, communication, collaboration, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure.

Pay: AED8,000.00 - AED10,000.00 per month

- Sharjah: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
Experience:
- DM Approved Scaffolding Designer: 3 years (Preferred)
