Job Title: Scheduling & Registration Analyst (Patient Access)

Role Overview

The Scheduling & Registration Analyst is responsible for supporting and optimizing patient access workflows, including appointment scheduling, registration processes, and front-desk operations within healthcare systems. This role ensures accurate patient data capture, efficient appointment management, and seamless coordination between clinical departments and patient access teams.

The ideal candidate has strong experience in patient access workflows, build/configuration of scheduling rules and templates, and understands operational challenges in front-desk environments.

Key Responsibilities

Patient Access & Scheduling Workflows

  • Support and optimize end-to-end patient access workflows, including:
  • Appointment scheduling and rescheduling
  • Pre-registration and insurance verification
  • Patient check-in and check-out processes
  • Configure scheduling workflows for outpatient, inpatient, and specialty clinics.
  • Ensure accurate patient demographic and insurance data capture.
  • Support referral management and authorization tracking processes.

Build Rules & Template Configuration

  • Configure scheduling templates for providers, departments, and service lines.
  • Build and maintain:
  • Appointment types
  • Visit types
  • Duration rules
  • Overbooking rules
  • Block schedules
  • Configure registration rules, required fields, and validation edits.
  • Perform testing and validation for new build changes or enhancements.
  • Support system upgrades and template optimizations.

Front-Desk Operations Support

  • Partner with front-desk teams to streamline check-in workflows.
  • Address scheduling conflicts, template errors, and system issues.
  • Provide troubleshooting support for registration and eligibility errors.
  • Train staff on scheduling and registration best practices.
  • Identify workflow inefficiencies and recommend operational improvements.

Reporting & Analytics

  • Develop and maintain reports for:
  • No-show rates
  • Appointment utilization
  • Registration accuracy
  • Wait times
  • Analyze patient access KPIs and recommend improvements.
  • Support operational leadership with scheduling capacity analysis.

Compliance & Data Integrity

  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and payer requirements.
  • Maintain data integrity across scheduling and registration modules.
  • Support audit and revenue cycle validation processes.

Production Support & Change Management

  • Provide Level 2/3 application support.
  • Participate in incident management and root cause analysis.
  • Support new clinic onboarding and service expansions.
  • Coordinate with clinical, revenue cycle, and IT teams during releases.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Health Informatics, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
  • 3–7 years of experience supporting scheduling and registration systems.
  • Strong understanding of patient access workflows.
  • Experience building scheduling templates and rules.
  • Knowledge of insurance verification and eligibility workflows.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting enterprise EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner, Meditech).
  • Knowledge of revenue cycle processes and front-end billing workflows.
  • Experience in multi-site ambulatory or hospital environments.
  • Familiarity with healthcare compliance and payer requirements.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹695,048.60 - ₹2,038,587.10 per year

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Noida
