Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate School Age Assistant Group Leader to join our vibrant team dedicated to enriching the lives of children. Responsibilities
- Assist in organizing and leading age-appropriate activities that promote learning, creativity, and physical activity for school-aged children.
- Maintain a safe environment by implementing proper classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies.
- Support children’s emotional well-being through positive reinforcement, Christian counseling principles, and respectful communication.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols, including first aid procedures and emergency response plans.
- Collaborate with team members to develop individualized plans for children with special education needs or behavioral challenges.
- Foster inclusive participation by encouraging teamwork, sports coaching, theater activities, and other engaging programs.
- Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, and staff to provide updates on children’s progress and address any concerns promptly.
Qualifications
- Prior experience working with children in settings such as daycare, camp, tutoring, or babysitting is highly desirable.
- Strong classroom management skills combined with knowledge of childhood development principles.
- Certification in first aid and CPR is preferred; willingness to obtain if not already certified.
- Background in special education or early childhood education enhances your ability to support diverse needs.
- Demonstrated ability to lead activities related to sports coaching, theater arts, or other extracurricular programs.
- Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude towards working with students of all backgrounds.
