Qualifications:
- Meets all requirements of the Kentucky Day Care Licensure Board.
- Bachelor’s degree in early childhood or a related field.
Reports To:
School age child District Point of Contact, Principal, And Superintendent.
Job Duties/ Responsibilities:
- Plans and implements a daily program and a summer program.
- Prepares, submits, and maintains program budgets.
- Conducts planning sessions with staff.
- Plans and oversees preparation of after school snacks.
- Coordinates program with school site to Insure positive relationship, i.e. following building rules.
- Maintains attendance, collects fees, and takes care of financial records.
- Acts as a liaison between home, school and community.
- Keeps up with parent pick-up schedule, phone messages, etc.
- Participates in the hiring process, maintains adequate staff/students’ ratios and supervises staff.
- Monitors building needs, i.e. custodial needs, etc.
- Provides for health, safety, and comfort of children, including reporting of accidents and suspected child abuse.
- Evaluates teaching and supervising activities of staff.
- Maintains a written schedule of staff working hours and maintains an adequate list of substitute child care staff.
- Conducts monthly fire drills and quarterly disaster drills.
- Acts as liaison to District point of contact regarding compliance with district policies and day-care facilities’ regulations.
- Seeks feedback on the program from all involved and make changes as indicated.
- Prepares monthly newsletter for parents.
- Prepares end-of-year statements for parents to use when filing taxes.
- Orders food and complete a monthly inventory.
- Substitutes when other staff members are absent and calls substitutes who have completed child care required trainings.
- Keeps current student records, i.e. changes, immunizations, etc.
- Maintains all requirements for a high quality S.T.A.R.S. rated childcare center.
- Works with the district transportation department to ensure the safe transportation to and from childcare within the district and on field trips.
Performs other tasks deemed necessary by the District Director or Superintendent.

248 Days / Classified Salary Schedule as set forth by the Bath County Board of Education

School principal at the site location and district point of contact
