School-Based Registered Nurse (RN) | Norristown, Pennsylvania

This opportunity seeks a Pennsylvania Certified School Nurse (CSN) to support the health and well-being of students in a K-12 school setting. The position is full-time, 7.5 hours per day, and spans the current school year through June 5, 2026. Two openings are available with an immediate start.

Key Qualifications

• Current and valid Pennsylvania Registered Nurse (R.N.) license
• Certification as a School Nurse (CSN) in Pennsylvania
• Bachelors degree in Nursing
• Experience in the nursing profession and working with children
• Knowledge of contemporary nursing practices and compliance with all state and federal regulations for school nursing
  
  

Primary Responsibilities

• Provide health assessments, first aid, and emergency care to students
• Maintain and update student health and dental records accurately
• Collaborate with school physicians and dentists during examinations
• Administer routine auditory, visual, tuberculosis, and scoliosis screenings as required
• Dispense medications prescribed by students personal physicians with appropriate approvals
• Advise school staff on students medical needs and proper health procedures
• Manage the schools health services and facilities under guidance from school administration
• Prepare immunization and accident reports as well as conduct student attendance health-related investigations
• Order and manage medical supplies for consistent health program operations
• Perform clerical duties related to the health office as assigned
