School-Based Registered Nurse (RN) - Washougal, Washington

A full-time School Nurse is needed for a 12-week leave coverage assignment in a K-12 educational setting located in Washougal, WA. This contract role requires dedication to student health and wellness across multiple school sites, providing essential medical and health services during the incumbent's absence.

Position Overview

• Duration: Approximately 12 weeks, beginning ASAP with an anticipated end date around mid-February.
• Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7.5 hours per day (including a 0.5-hour unpaid break).
• Coverage: Three school buildingstwo primary schools located on the same campus, and one middle school requiring occasional travel.
  
  

Key Responsibilities

• Perform daily school nursing duties, including health assessments and care plans.
• Administer lunch-time and rescue medications accurately and safely.
• Support students with asthma and other chronic conditions.
• Provide first aid and address various student health needs promptly.
• Participate in 504 and IEP meetings to support students medical accommodations.
  
  

Qualifications And Desired Experience

• Current RN licensure with experience in school nursing preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple responsibilities across several school sites.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Experience working with pediatric populations and knowledge of educational health protocols.
