School Bus Driver

Job Summary
Transports clients, ensures adherence to safety rules, and assists passengers in boarding or exiting, as necessary.
General Accountabilities
Safely operate a school bus or passenger bus in compliance with all federal, state, and local laws
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
Pick up and drop off passengers at designated locations on schedule
Maintain order and always ensure passenger safety
Communicate professionally with parents, school staff, and dispatch
Report delays, accidents, or mechanical issues promptly
Keep vehicle interior clean and orderly
Follow company emergency and safety protocols
Adhere to DOT and company safety regulations
Job Qualifications
Education: High school diploma or equivalent
Experience: Appropriate certifications and/or licensures with a few months to 1 year of related experience
Credentials: Class A,B or C CDL with Passenger (P) endorsement (S endorsement preferred)
Acceptable driving record and valid DOT Medical Certificate
Ability to pass a pre-employment drug and background check
Reliable, safety-minded, and customer-focused
Willingness to work flexible shifts, including mornings, evenings, and weekends
Familiarity with Southern Tier NY geography and culture
