School Bus Driver

Scarsdale School District is seeking reliable and safety-focused Bus Drivers to transport students, with the possibility of evening athletic events, practices, and competitions. This is a great opportunity for individuals looking for flexible, part-time work while supporting student activities.

Schedules include morning only, afternoon only and both morning and afternoon routes.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely transport students to/from home and school.
• May provide field trip transport during the school day and outside of school ours as needed.
• May also transport student athletes to and from athletic events, practices, and competitions as needed.
• Check the operating condition of the bus before starting each trip and ensure the vehicle is in safe working order.
• Report any operational defects or mechanical issues immediately to a supervisor.
• Inform students of proper safety practices and ensure all safety procedures are followed.
• Maintain orderly conduct of students while on the bus.
• Keep the interior and exterior of the vehicle clean and neat.
• Maintain accurate records of mileage, routes, time, and incidents.
• Prepare and maintain maps of routes and pick-up/drop-off points.
• Communicate effectively with teachers, coaches, administrators, and transportation supervisors.
• May be required to operate a sport utility vehicle or other similar vehicle as needed.
• May be required to perform minor maintenance tasks on the vehicle.
• Follow all district policies, traffic laws, and safety regulations at all times.

Pay: $21.26 - $32.25 per hour
