School Bus Driver 2026-2027

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and responsible Bus Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting passengers, including children to their designated locations. This role requires excellent communication skills, a strong commitment to customer service, and the ability to manage behavior effectively while ensuring a safe and pleasant journey for all passengers.

Duties

• Operate a bus in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in proper working condition.
• Maintain clear communication with dispatch regarding any delays or issues encountered during routes.
• Manage student behavior effectively to ensure a safe environment throughout the journey.
• Keep accurate records of routes, passenger counts, and any incidents that occur during transit.

Qualifications

• Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for bus driving.
• Experience in bus driving or commercial driving preferred; school bus driving experience is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact positively with diverse groups of people.
• Experience working with children or in childcare settings is advantageous.
• Mechanical knowledge related to vehicle operation and maintenance is beneficial.
• Previous experience in customer service roles is preferred.
• Ability to manage behavior effectively while maintaining a calm demeanor in various situations.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
