We are seeking a passionate and dedicated School Counselor to join our educational community! Duties

  • Provide individual and group counseling sessions focused on academic advising, behavioral health, mental health counseling, and social-emotional development.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive behavior management plans to support positive student conduct.
  • Assist students with conflict management strategies, conflict resolution skills, and social skills development.
  • Conduct assessments using standardized testing tools to identify student needs and track progress over time.
  • Collaborate with teachers to adapt classroom strategies for students with special education needs or behavioral challenges.
  • Offer guidance on childhood development topics, cultural diversity counseling, child welfare issues, and child protective services procedures.
  • Support students in navigating personal challenges by providing Christian counseling or other culturally sensitive approaches as appropriate.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in School Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or related field; Master’s degree preferred .
  • Valid school counselor certification or licensure as required by local regulations.
  • Demonstrated experience working with children and students in educational or childcare settings.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively engage with students, parents, teachers, and external agencies.
  • Knowledge of behavioral health practices, mental health counseling techniques, and child welfare policies.
  • Experience with classroom experience and classroom management strategies is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with special education programs, conflict management methods, standardized testing procedures, and cultural diversity counseling is a plus. Pay: $44,008.25 - $52,999.19 per year
