Position Summary:

We are looking for a passionate and skilled Dance Teacher to lead the school’s dance and movement education program across primary, middle, and senior school levels. The ideal candidate should be versatile in classical and contemporary dance forms and capable of choreographing performances for school events, competitions, and cultural programs. As this is a residential position, the role also includes responsibilities beyond regular school hours.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct dance classes for students across various age groups (Grades 4 to 12).
• Teach classical, folk, and contemporary dance forms as per age and event requirements.
• Choreograph performances for school functions, inter-house competitions, and annual day.
• Identify and nurture student talent for external competitions and performances.
• Collaborate with music, theatre, and art departments for integrated performances.
• Plan and coordinate cultural practices during weekends and special occasions.
• Take part in residential responsibilities, including student supervision and event management.
• Encourage self-expression, discipline, and creativity through dance education.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

• Degree or diploma in Dance (classical or contemporary) from a recognized institution.
• Minimum 2–3 years of teaching experience, preferably in a school or performance setting.
• Versatility in multiple dance forms (Indian and/or Western).
• Ability to choreograph both group and solo performances.
• Good communication skills, classroom management, and a child-friendly attitude.
• Willingness to engage with students beyond the classroom in a residential setup.
