The Arbor School Dubai is seeking a compassionate, professional, and organized School Nurse to join our dedicated team. This role is essential in providing timely and professional medical care to students, staff, and visitors, while ensuring full compliance with Dubai Health Authority (DHA) regulations and the school’s Medical Care Policy. The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and committed to promoting the health, safety, and well-being of the school community.
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the school clinic, ensuring compliance with DHA regulations regarding size, facilities, accessibility, equipment, and staffing.
- Maintain accurate, confidential medical records and assist in developing individual health care and emergency plans for students with chronic conditions or special medical needs.
- Support the school doctor in assessing pediatric cases, providing first aid, and conducting regular non-invasive health screenings (height, weight, BMI, ENT, respiratory, musculoskeletal, vision, and hearing).
- Maintain immunisation records, encourage timely vaccinations, and input relevant data into the DHA Hasana public health system.
- Manage students with allergies or diabetes by maintaining relevant healthcare plans and ensuring staff are informed and trained.
- Monitor student health, track prolonged illnesses, and communicate updates to parents regarding injuries, illnesses, and medication needs.
- Support the referral of students with psychological or emotional disorders to the appropriate staff.
- Design and coordinate health education programs for students, staff, and parents, ensuring approval from the Health Regulation Department for any external campaigns.
- Monitor and prevent serious health and safety incidents and implement timely controls to protect the school community.
- Assist with school events, perform other reasonable duties requested by the School Doctor or Head of Operations, and actively participate in professional development.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience, preferably in a school environment.
- Knowledge of DHA requirements and school health policies.
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
